Our machine shop is dedicated to the production of engineering thermoplastic components, processing all grades of engineering plastic materials.

why choose in2 plastics

Our machine shop is dedicated to the production of engineered thermoplastic components, processing all grades, including nylon, acetal, UHMW polyethylene, PTFE and peek to name a few.  With highly experienced staff to ensure accuracy and quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Due to the diverse thermal and mechanical characteristics of thermoplastic materials, specialized knowledge is required about how plastic materials behave both during and after machining.

Our experienced staff ensure accuracy and quality throughout the manufacturing process.

We also specialise in 3 and 4 Axis CNC Routing and Milling Services, Cutting, Plaining & Drilling.

CNC Routing

Unlike steel, alloys and composite materials, thermoplastics materials are susceptible to thermal movement and as a result are not suitable for tight tolerance requirements. Ask our sales office for further details

We can handle any job, from simple to complex part geometries, and short to long production runs.

Not only do we use traditional machining techniques such as cutting, planing, routing, drilling, milling and turning, we have also invested in a comprehensive CNC Machine shop.

CNC machinery provides the benefit of tighter tolerance, reliability, consistency, and speed. Complex parts can be made in a fraction of the time taken on conventional machinery. Safety is an added benefit, as cutting tools are usually enclosed.

This has enabled us to build strong, lasting and positive relationships with a wide range of customers by providing an excellent and reliable machining service to all of our clients.

CNC Milling

Our in-house CNC Milling facilities are comprehensive and designed to perfectly complement our other machining processes. As part of our continuous policy of development and our status as a leading manufacturer of machined plastics, we have a fully equipped Milling department including 4 axis machining, enabling us to manufacture bespoke precision parts to our customer requirements to the highest of standards.

Working closely with all our customers we are able to produce complex precision parts on a one-off basis, or high volume runs, in a wide variety of plastic materials and filled grades. Including Nylon, Acetal, Polyethylene, PTFE, PEEK.

Our CNC Mills have both online and offline programming in both 3rd & 4th axis using the latest XYZ SMX system. With machine travel of 750mm in X, 400mm in Y and 400mm in Z we are able to produce a range of components, furthermore we have a wide range of tooling and work holding equipment such as hydraulic 4th axis and 90 degree side head attachments.

Our Manual Mills are mainly use for secondary ops of CNC components from both the Miller and CNC Routers this results in more competitive pricing, as manual machines are quick and easy to set up and run.

CNC Turning

We have also invested in, and developed our CNC Turning department over the years with our latest machine arriving in 2022, which has allowed IN2 Plastics to offer very competitively priced turned parts in a wide range of thermoplastic materials, such as: Nylon, Acetal, Polyethylene, PTFE, PEEK and any other plastic available to market.

Our highly trained engineers have built up a wealth of expertise and knowledge in manufacturing a wide range of turned parts, from prototype items, to large volume call off orders, to highly complex turned parts where absolute accuracy is required.

We have a dynamic range of CNC Lathes, our fully automatic Turning Centre can produce high volume complex parts at speed, using the latest machinery and Samsung control systems from the XYZ range and with live tooling and bar feed option we are able to minimise machining costs.

Our semi auto CNC & Manual Lathes give us the capability to machine larger components and low volume runs without effecting production on the CNC Tuning centre. These machines have a 400mm swing over the bed and 760mm between centres. All machines have a large range of tooling and work holding equipment.
